MR. WILLIAM BRAXTON, age 84 of New York, New York, formerly of Demopolis, Alabama passed September 2, 2008 at a nursing facility in New York. Funeral Services were held Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. His nephew, Rev. Rev. Charlie Moore, pastor of the St. Paul Baptist Church officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Cemetery, Arcola Road, Demopolis, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Mr. William Browder Braxton entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 7, 2008. He leaves to cherish his precious memories:a loving and devoted companion Beatrice Chatman of Manhattan, Ny; a stepson Samuel Chatman; two daughters Debra Braxton Mullen and Gail Braxton both of Demopolis, AL; three sisters Mary Green, Demopolis, AL, Rosie (Joe) Hunter of Uniontown, AL, and Barbara Ann James of Demopolis, AL; three brothers Hobart (Georgiana) Braxton of Demopolis, AL, Robert (Earnestine) Braxton of Bessemer,AL, and Haywood (Inez) Braxton of New York,NY; one sister in law Annye Braxton and one brother in law Will Moore Sr. of Demopolis, AL; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
