Mr. Walter Akins, affectionately known to family & friends as "Duke", the beloved husband of Essie Akins of Livingston, Alabama entered into eternal rest March 7, 2012 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Bethel Pine Baptist Church, Coatopa, Alabama (Livingston, Alabama). Rev. F.O. Bell, Pastor. Rev. Floyd James will officiate. Interment will follow in Bucks Chapel Cemetery, Coatopa, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday (March 17) from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Public viewing will be held Friday (March 16) from 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
