Funeral services for Mr. Sidney Nix Jr., also known as "Boo G", were held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Pine Baptist Church of Coatopa, AL. REv. Floyd Bell is the pastor. REv. Willie J. Ivory Sr. officiated. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery of Coatopa, Alabama. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with all arrangements. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a devoted and loving mother Lela R. Nix of Coatopa, AL; two sons James A. Russell of New Orleans,LA and Warren Dowell of Westbury, NY; five sisters Wyonia (Perry) Coleman of Waukegan, IL, Corine Chambers of Canton, OH, Doris Nix of Coatopa, AL, Deborah (Rod) Stinson of Detroit, MI and Mattie Lee Nix of Greensboro, AL; three brothers Joseph (Mattie) Nix, Bennett (Rosie) Nix and Selton Nix all of Waukegan, IL; two aunts Mary A. Russell of Detroit, Michigan and Ruby Russell of Bellamy, AL; one uncle Ennis L. Russell, Canton, OH; one uncle in law Booker Dykes; special friend Rosetta Vann and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
