Funeral services for Sheriff Ison Thomas were held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Greene County High School,Eutaw, Alabama. REv. Clayborn May, officiated. Interment followed in the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, AL entrusted with all arrangements. Sheriff Thomas leaves to cherish his precious memories: his father Walter (Bessie) Branch; wife Dorothy Thomas; eight children Jacqueline Winston, Perdell (Deanna_) Thomas, Ison DeAndre Thomas, Daedra Thomas, Kendarious Steel, and Tiamira Thomas ; sisters Mary Sears, Gloria (Andrew) Croom, Tanya Sams, Brendalan (Kenneth) Jackson, Aprilla Lee; brother Kevin M. Branch; six grandchildren; aunts Cora Bently, Fannie (James) Charleston, Thelma Thomas, Evelena Winn, Essie (Robert) Brock, Isabella Jackson, and Vera Hawkins; Uncles Jimmy (Francis) Winn and James Jenkins; five sisters in law, three brothers in law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
