Mr. Joe L. Rice, age 63 of Livingston, Alabama entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 14, 2011 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Bethel Pine Baptist Church, Coatopa, Alabama. Rev. David Rice officiated. Rev. Floyd O. Bell is pastor. Interment full military honors
were held at Bucks Chapel Cemetery, Coatopa, AL. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Sgt. Rice leaves to cherish his precious memories: six children Joe Louis Rice Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y., Lisa Whitted of Demopolis, AL, Jabari Rice of Birmingham, AL, Jeremy Rice of Coatopa, AL, Melissa Rice of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Jared Rice Sr.of St. Louis, MO; three sisters Bertha Rice McCrear, Leatha Jones, and Rosie (Kinnis) Kelly of Birmingham, AL; one brother Rev. Willie Curtis Rice of Coatopa, AL; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
