Mrs. Rosie Lily Allen, age 81 of Tuscaloosa, Alabama formerly of Forkland, Alabama passed April 24, 2007 at her daughter's residence in Montgomery, Alabama. Funeral
Services were held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church, Forkland, Alabama. Rev. Claborn May officiated. Interment follow in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Born December 4, 1925 in Forkland, Alabama to the late John H. Lawson & Sadie Hall Ward.
She joined Birdine A.M.E. Zion Church. Later she joined Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church, Forkland, Alabama where she served faithfully as an Adult Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, Senior choir member, youth director, mission teacher and usher board president. She was also a member of Daughters of Ruth Chapter #10, Order of Eastern Stars, Tuscaloosa, AL; She is survived by three loving children, Robena (Robert) Johnson of Wayne, MI, Brenda Ishman of Jersey City, N.J and Elizabeth (Alfred) DeRamus of Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren, Earnest Ishman, Jr., Dian (Rev. Anthony) Walter, Alison Ishman, Staneshia Davis, Stavarius Davis, Alfred DeRamus III and Aliyah-Symone DeRamus; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
