Services were held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis,Alabama. Rev. Fred Moore officiated. Rev. Mithcell Congress served as Master of Order Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemtery, Demopolis, Alabama. She was a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church for over 68 years; graduate of U.S. Jones High School Class of 1944; member of White Stone Chapter #864; studied at Birmingham Theological Seminary, Birmingham, Alabama. Employed by Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama for over fourty (40) years. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Rev. Ephraim B. Burrell who preceded her in death. Survivors include three loving and devoted children, Johnny C. Phillips of Demopolis, AL, Christine Mullen of College Park, GA and Rev. Major W. Burrell of Demopolis, AL; one sister, Sarah Cooper of Demopolis, AL; one brother, Louis Norman of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
