Mr. Randy L. Bates, age 38 of Tabernacle Road, Gallion, Alabama, passed November 20, 2011 in Snead, Florida as the result of injuries sustained in a truck accident. Funeral Services wereld Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Gallion, Alabama. Elder Albert Robinson officiated. Interment ill followed in Coleman Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Randy was born to the parentage of Annie S. Bates and the late Dec. James Bates, Sr. Also his brother preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Annie L. Bates of the Tabernacle Community, Gallion, Alabama. A precious daughter, Ashley Bates of Linden, AL;five stepchildren, OsOslen, Justin, Randall, Paul, and Jasmine.
Two sisters, Tabitha (Jake) Winter of Gallion, AL and Lula Lewis of Lansing, MI; four brothers, Jerome (Kim) Phillips of Sweetwater, AL, Rick (Helen) Bates of Gallion, AL., Rensy Bates of Buffalo, N.Y. and Carlos Clearwater of Clearwater, FL; four aunts, Judy Jones of Dover, DE., and Loretta M. Stewart of Gallion, AL; three uncles, Louis Bates of Cleveland, OH., William (Loretta) Stewart and George (Debra) Stewart of Lansing, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was
employed as a truck driver for Hornsby Transportation Company. He was well known for his laughter and smile.
