Rev. Frank Charleston officiated. Interment followed in Limestone Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. He entered into eternal rest August 24, 2007 at his residence in Tacoma, Washington. Son of the late Jacy Sr. & Melvina Hurns of Demopolis, Alabama. Survivors include two beautiful children, Preston Hurns, Jr., Philadelphia, PA & Nefertari Bolden, Demopolis, AL; two stepchildren, Deshaun Bailey & Jamal Bolden, Demopolis, AL; two aunts, Cora Blanton, Toledo, OH & Hortense Hurns, New York; three sisters, Queen (Joe) Simmons, Toledo, OH, Flora (Johnny) Harris, Demopolis, AL & Mary Alice Hildreth, Tacoma, WA; two brothers, Roosevelt (Mary) Hurns, Greensboro, AL & Jacy Jr. (Jean) Hurns, Birmingham, AL; 12 very devoted nieces & nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
