Mrs. Odessa "Shug" Jackson Robinson of Forkland, Alabama passed recently at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Forkland, Alabama. Rev. W. M. Branch, Pastor. Rev. Dr. James Jennings, Sr. of Detroit, Michigan officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Simuel Robinson. Survivors include her loving and devoted children, Julia Jackson of Waukegan, IL., Elnora Jackson of Forkland, AL, Clarissa (Lionel) Baker of Waukegan, IL, Virginia Gulley of Huntsville, AL., Deacon William Gulley of Forkland, Alabama, Dr. Mary E. Robinson of Atlanta, GA., and Rev. James Robinson of Gary, Indiana. 29 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grands, 1 great, great grand. Siblings are Rose Jackson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Betty Mae Jackson of Forkland, AL, Bessie (David) Slay, New York, N.Y., Lena Mae Jackson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Brenda (Joshua) Cabil of Demopolis, AL, Veronica Isaac of Forkland, AL, Fannie Wheeler of Jefferson, AL, Mary Reed of Eutaw, AL, Abraham Hall of Dallas, Texas and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
