Mr. Milton Congress, age 69, the beloved husband of Mrs. Vera Congress of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest January 14, 2015 at the University of South Alabama Medical Center, Mobile, Alabama. Funeral services for Mr. Milton Congress were held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at New Morning Star Baptist Church, Demopolis, ALabama. Interment followed in Scott's Memorial Cemetery, Jefferson, Alabama. Rev. C. L. Franklin officiated. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with all arrangements.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of forty-six years, Vera; a devoted mother, Jessie Bell Congress, Jefferson, AL; four sisters, Dorothy (Linwood) Dunn, Tuscaloosa, AL, Ida Beverly, Grand Rapids, MI, Betty (Robert) Jackson, Buffalo, NY and Gloria Zollicoffer, Hudsonville, MI; three brothers, Henry (Clara) Congress, Jr., Demopolis, AL, Elbert Congress, Chicago, IL, and Alexander (Bert) Jones, Buffalo, NY; six aunts, Ruthie Braxton, Ceola Harris and Juanita Thurman, Jefferson, AL, Beatrice Edwards, Houston, TX, Mary Congress and Lorena Killings, Cleveland, OH; two uncles, JC (Ceola) Thurman, Jefferson, AL and Sam Congress, Columbus, MS; three sisters-in-law, Alice Green and Carolyn (Robert) Simmons, Nyack, NY and Dorothy (Horace) Brooks, Tuskegee, AL; two brothers-in-law, John (Cathy) Crump, Opelika, AL and Larry (Lendy) Holland, Auburn, AL; a devoted niece, Inaya Spradley; a devoted nephew, Andrew Spradley, both of Nyack, NY; special friends, Nathan McGrew, Jefferson, AL, Charlie White, Nyack, NY, Rev.
