Funeral services for Ms. Mary Lou Slay were held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 12 noon at the Old Greene Oak Baptist cburch of Forkland, Alabama. Rev. Billy Jones pastor and officiant. Interment followed at the Birdine AME Zion Cemetery of Forkland, Alabama.Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with all arrangements. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: children Roosevelt (Brenda) Harris of Oberlin, OH, Elizabeth (John) Drew of Forkland, AL, Julia (Clarence) Bush of Elyria, OH, Ollie (Robert-deceased) James of Chicago, IL, Mary Virginia ( Richard-deceased) Miles of Chicago, IL, Dorothy (Euguene) Vasser of Forkland, AL, Willie (Pearlean) Slay of Forkland, AL, Tommy (Sharron) Slay III of Chicago, IL and Slyvester Slay Sr. of Eutaw, AL; thirty - two grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
