Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary J. Cosby, age 88 of Demopolis, Alabama were held Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Henry Thompson officiated. Interment followed in Millers Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age. Preceded in death by her husband, Vinson Cosby, Sr., three children, Annie Holloway, Robert Cosby & Samuel Cosby. One brother, Eugene Clay preceded her in death. Survivors include nine children, Silas (Della) Seabron, Ruben Cosby, Amy Paige & Vincent (Annie Mae) Cosby, all of Demopolis, AL, Betty (George) Bullock of Spring Valley, N.Y., Mary C. Thomas, Arthur (Virginia) Cosby, both of Demopolis, AL, Eddie & Nancy Cosby of Dover, DE & Abbie Cosby of Hardsgale, NY; 35 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren; three sisters in law, Winnie Brown of Brooklyn, NY, Edna Mae Allen & Julia Glover, both of Demopolis, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
