Mrs. Mary Louise Congress of Demopolis, Alabama, age 54 of Birmingham, Alabama, a former native of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest December 11, 2011 at the U.A.B. Medical Center Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 12 noon at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Chestnut Street, Demopolis, Alabama. Her beloved brother, Elder James Congress, Eulogist. Interment followed in Scott Memorial Cemetery, Jefferson, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. She was born to Sam Congress, Jr. and the late Juanita Congress. She was the eldest of eight children. One brother, Sammy Lee Congress preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Virginia Tommie Evans, Mary Jane Mack, aunts, Deotha, Mammie, Uncles, Henry, Allen and Anthony "Amp" Roney. Mary was a loving and devoted and caring mother and grandmother, faithful and a loving sister. Mary Louise leaves to cherish her memories three loving and devoted children; Anthony (Alisha) Ccongress of Tuscaloosa, AL., Lashundra and Shindale Congress of Birmingham, AL. A loving & devoted father Sam (Patty) Congress of Columbus, MS; three sisters, one loving & devoted, Denise Congress of Cleveland, OH. and Irish Bridges of Tuskegee, AL, Ashley Gibson of Columbus, MS; four loving and devoted brothers, Elder James Congress & Rob Sanders of Demopolis, AL, Allen (Tiffany) Harrison of Atlanta, GA, and Quincy Lathan Congress of Columbus, MS. Loving grandchildren, Zemorrah & Bianca Congress of Birmingham, AL; several nieces & nephews, Joshua Congress, De Hill, Tyrana Rhodes, Jeremy Harris, Miss Little Harrison. One great niece, Trinity McClain.
