Mrs. Mary Louise Bell Rosenbush of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest peacefully March 17, 2026 at Marengo County Nursing Facility Linden, Alabama.

Mary Louise was born May 27, 1933 in the Mississippi Delta, the only child of the late Myrtle Milam Bell and Albert Burns Bell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert J. Rosenbush, Jr. and is survived by several cousins.

Mary Louise graduated from Batesville High School in Mississippi, and received her BA and MEd from the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Gamma Delta Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. She completed a Master of Religious Education from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and taught in Elementary Schools in Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas, later serving as Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Alabama.

Upon her marriage to Bert Rosenbush, Jr. in l971, Mary Louise moved to Demopolis, and was Vice-President of Rosenbush Furniture Company. She received a Certificate in Interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design, was listed in Who's Who in the South and Southwest, the World Who's Who of Women, and the Directory of Distinguished Americans.

She was an active member of the community, belonging to Demopolis First Baptist Church, the Study Club, the Music Study Club, the Friday Bridge Club, and other community organizations.

Mary Louise was a true Southern Lady with a real love for music and people, and was a very generous and giving person.

Graveside services were held  at B'Nai Jeshurun Cemetery  Demopolis, Alabama at 10 a.m. Monday, March 23,2026 Rev. Carl Williams and Elder Tom Boggs presided.

In lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Demopolis.
