Mrs. Lula Dell McCall, age 79 of Linden, Alabama passed January 23, 2008 at her residence. Funeral Services were held Sunday, January 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Lovely Primitive Baptist Church, Linden, Alabama. Rev. Roy L. Scruggs officiated. Interment l followed in Coleman Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Sis. Lula D. McCall was born August 13, 1927 to the parentage of the late Issac and Nattile Ferrell in Gallion, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Lovely Primitive Baptist Church. She later joined the New Salem P.B. Church in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a devoted Christian all of her life. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Lula was united in holy matrimony to Melvin McCall. He passed this life in 1976. One sister, Charlotte Colon and one brother Isaac Ferrell, Jr. preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Willie (Pat) Martin of Birmingham, Alabama, Lula M. Hawthorne of Chicago, IL, Fennie Hood of Birmingham, AL, Melvin McCall, Jr. of Gallion, AL and Marzett (Paulette) of San Antonio, Texas; One brother, James Ferrell of Gallion, AL; 23 grandchildren, Erik, Keisha, Toskiko, Ronnie, Willie Jr., Demetrius, Dawn, Garetta, Justin, Donald, Chrishelle, Azia, Valencia, Falencia, Stephen, LaShondra, Melvin, Jr., Melva, Tiffany, Nicholas, Marzett II, Kristin and Paul. Many great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons and flower bearers will be ushers and friends.
