Mrs. Lucy L. Carter Moore, age 98 of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest peacefully at the Northport-DCH Medical Center, Northport, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Old Springhill Road, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. D. Smith, Pastor. Her beloved grandson, Rev. Fred D. Moore, Pastor of the Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama will officiate. Interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Thursday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Public viewing will be held Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Survivors include her loving children, Barbara (Sam) of Northport, Alabama, Ruby Moore of Demopolis, AL., Ann (Nathan) Roberson of Forkland, AL, Robert Moore, Jr., (Mary) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mary (Wesley) Anderson of Denver, Colorado; devoted brother, James Carter of Gary, IN., a host of devoted brothers and sisters preceded her in death. A loving and devoted grandson she reared, Rev. Fred D. (Loretta) Moore of Gallion, Alabama. A host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren whom she was very dear and devoted to her and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and devoted cousins and friends whom she was instrumental and being a truly blessed woman whom she loved dearly. REST ON MRS. LUCY, YOU FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, KEPT THE FAITH, AND NOW THERE IS A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHERE YOU ARE NOW. GOD BLESS YOU FOR THE LIVES YOU INFLUENCED.
