Mrs. Laura E. Davis, age 89 of the Tishabee Community, Boligee, Alabama passed September 21, 1007 at Greene County Hospital, Eutaw, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Little Zion Baptist Church, Boligee, Alabama. Rev. Willie C. Carter is the pastor. Rev. Willis Gulley will officiate. Interment will follow in Freehope Cemetery, Boligee, Alabama. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.
She was born to the parentage of the late Joe Plump and late Mary Delia White Plump in Forkland, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Freehope Baptist Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Cleveland Davis who preceded her in death. Preceding her in death along with her parents were her siblings, Albert, Joe, Clarence, David, Josephine and Earnestine. Survivors include four loving children, a loving daughter, Delois (Johnny) Glasper of Calumet Park, IL; a devoted son, Willie Davis of Boligee, AL; sons, Marzette Plumb of Chicago, IL & Henry Burrell, Jr. of Columbus, OH; one special god-daughter, Martha James of Eutaw, AL; two step-children, Nora Dew and Jessie Davis, both of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Alice Clark of Bessemer, AL; one brother, Fred Plump of Detroit, MI; one special sister-in-law, Leona Plump of Eutaw, AL; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
