Mrs. Kate Hargress, age 89 of Demopolis, Alabama passed January 1, 2009 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, January 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Gallion, Alabama. Rev. Donald White officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Samuel Hargress, Sr. her parents, Lewis & Everlina Franklin and two children, David Hargress and Ezekiel Hargress. Survivors include two loving and devoted children, Proverbs Hargress of Demopolis, Alabama and Samuel Hargress, Jr. of New York, N.Y; 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great, grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
