Mr. John W. Woods, age 67 of Demopolis, Alabama passed April 11, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. James Dunn will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Public viewing will be held Tuesday from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Sam Woods, siblings, James Woods, Threet Woods & Clara Woods-Robinson. Survivors include a loving & devoted wife, Dorothy L. Woods of Demopolis, AL; four siblings, Sam Woods, Jr. of Laurel, MD, Edward E. (Betty) Woods of Winston-Salem, N.C, Martha (Peter) Nichol of Lilburn, GA & Fannie G. Woods of New York; step-daughter, Joyce Y. Fluker; one step-granddaughter, 13 nieces & nephews, 7 great nephews & nieces; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; mother-in-law, Josephine Brown of Atlanta, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
