Mr. Joel Thomas Jackson of Boligee,  Alabama entered into eternal rest  unexpectedly April 12, 2026 at his residence.

Joel Thomas Jackson, born March 22, 1974 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Joel  lived a full life, forming strong, meaningful relationships with the people around him.

After finishing high school at Tuscaloosa County High School in 1992, Joel started working at BMW of Tuscaloosa. After passing his real estate exam, he began selling homes built by his father, Howell Jackson, throughout Tuscaloosa County.

Currently, Joel worked as a Warehouse Manager at Cypress Supply of Tuscaloosa. He truly enjoyed his time there and the friendships he built with his coworkers. It was more than just a job to him—it was a place where he felt at home.

Joel was known for his strong work ethic, his kindness, and how much he genuinely cared about others. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and a spirit that people won't forget.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Jackson and Melanie Dianne Snow Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Storey Jackson and his stepchildren, Reese Gowan and Truitt Gowan. He is also survived by his brothers, Chris Jackson of Kansas, Lynn Jackson of Northport, and Lance Jackson (Julie) of Tuscaloosa. Additionally, he leaves behind his Aunt Sara Brown of Northport, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Paula Storey of Dothan, and his brother-in-law Matt Storey (Katie) of Dothan. Joel also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Alexis Jackson, Storm Jackson, Katelynn Jackson, Alex Jackson (Mimi), Susanna Jackson, Julianne Jackson, Boyd Jackson, Elias Storey, Lucas Speigner and Leila Speigner. Joel also leaves behind several special cousins and friends who meant a lot to him.

Family and friends will gather to honor Joel's life on April 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lake United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Joel will always be remembered for his personality, his kindness, and the impact he had on the people who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
