Mrs. Joan Scott. Anthony, age 62 of Demopolis, Alabama, former native of Forkland, Alabama entered into eternal rest January 15, 2012 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral Servics were held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. Pastor Fred D. Moore officiant. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. She was preceded in death by her a sister, Carrie Bell Thomas along with her parents, Abraham and Jessie Isaac Scott of Forkland, Alabama. At an early age she joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Forkland,Alabama. She later joined the Christian Chapel Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Fred D. Moore. She leaves to cherish a very devoted friend/caretaker, Harry Moody, Demopolis, AL; two daughters, Sandra Anthony, Opelika, AL and Makeba (Robert) Vaughn, Opelika, AL; nine grandchildren; four sisters, one very devoted, Betty (Richard), Reform, AL, Hope (Luscious)Jackson, Eutaw, AL, Wanda (James) House, Elkhart, AL, and Beverly (Michael) Marlyland
