Mr. Jessie Thornton leaves to cherish his precious memories: twelve children Jessie Farley and Mary Thornton of Omaha, Nebraska, Dorothy Thornton of Philadelphia, Pennslyvania,Sam (Caroline) Thornton of Williamsburg, Virginia, Sherry Thornton and Neil Thornton of Los Angeles, California, David Thornton of Houston, Texas, Phillip Thornton, Norman Thornton, and Mattie Thornton of Demopolis, Alabama, Rosie Harris of Montgomery, Alabama and Miss Beretha Thornton of Bettsville,Maryland; a sister Martha Washington of Lansing, Michigan; six sister in laws, Alberta Thornton and Alice Brown of Demopolis, Alabama, Nellie Brown, Queens, New York, Beulah Thornton and Delia Thornton of Rock Island, Illinois, and Delphine Thornton of Spartanbug, South Carolina; 22 granchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
