Mr. James Clark, age 85 of 396 Lee Street, Bellamy, Alabama, passed February 1, 2008 at the residence of his beloved niece and caretaker, Sadie Fenderson. Funeral Services were held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Coatopa, Alabama. Rev. Wesley Winston officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. James (Gene) was born May 9, 1922 in Sumter County, Alabama to the parentage of the late Mr. & Mrs. Alex and Mary Clark. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Nelliebell Jones Clark who preceded him in in death, along with a sister, Alice & John W. Dallas. He leaves to cherish his memory a special and devoted friend of 40 years, Ms. Marie Ann Jones of Coatopa, AL: a loving daughter, Mary (Paul) Chaney of Macon, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jalen D. Chaney, Jayla Dee Ann Chaney and Quinton Williams James Chaney, all of Macon, GA; one brother, Willie (Ruby0 Clark of Coatopa, AL; one sister, Lureana (Willie Lee-deceased) Bradley, Coatopa, AL; one uncle, Hillard Hudson, Tuscaloosa, AL: a special niece and caretaker, Sadie (Frank) Fenderson of Bellamy, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
