MOTHER ISIPHENE RODGERS JONES, age 85 of Nicholsville, Alabama (Sweetwater, AL., Community), entered into eternal rest peacefully December 10, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Services were held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church, Nicholsville, Alabama (Sweetwater, Alabama Community). Rev. Edmond Charleston, Pastor. Apostle Charles Hunter officiant. Minister Barbara Morissette, Mistress of Order. Interment followed in the church cemetery. She was born October 10, 1926 to the late Rev. Sumpteer and Tulie P. Rodgers of Nanafalia, Alabama. She attended and completed Nicholsville School and continued her education at Thomasville Normal and Industrial High School in Thomasville, Alabama. She was married to the late Deacon Woodrow Jones, Sr. of Nicholsville, Alabama and from that union, nine children were born. One child preceded her in death. She received Christ at an early age and joined the Antioch Baptist Church, Nicholsville, Alabama. She moved to Mobile, Alabama where she later joined Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church. She was a great strength and encouragement to her daughter and son-in-law's church, True Light Tabernacle Holiness Church in Linden, Alabama. Mother Jones believing in standing and living for God and letting her light so shine that men may see her good works and glorify the Father in heaven. It was all Him in not about her. The life that Mother Jones lived was her testimony to see that you can be saved and lived and be righteous life and be a positive influence in the community. Burl) Chaney, Aundra Burroughs, Verna B. Jones, Jimmy Rodgers, David Rodgers, S.W. Rodgers, Jr., Rev. Joseph Rodgeers, Deacon J.D. Rodgers; two sisters in law, Johnnie Mae Sewell and Annie Mae Rodgers of Sweetwater, AL; one brother in law, Clifford (Charles) Jones, Jackson, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
