Thompson of Meridian, Mississippi, the former pastor of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Demopolis, Alabama, the beloved husband of Mrs. Sandra Essex-Thompson of Meridian, Mississippi, a former native of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest February 9, 2011 at Rush Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi. Funeral Services were held Saturday February 12th at 11 A.M. at the church. His brother, Samuel L. Thompson, officiated. Final Services were held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Greater Enoch Church, Highway 469, Florence, Mississippi.Interment followed in the church cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with all arrangements.He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving wife Sandra; their children Keshia (Leroy) Harris, Henry Jr. (Katara) Thompson, Shana Horton, Justin Thompson and Curtis Horton Jr; grandchildren Kamryn, Brayden, Chase, and Olivia; his siblings Youland Thompson of Florence, MS, Erastus (Linda) Thompson of Gulfport, MS; Samuel (Tammy) of Meridian, MS; Mary Young of Kansas City, Kansas; Earnest Thompson of Florence, MS; siblings through Sandra, Dorothy (Dr.Ronald) Watts, Leonard (Jewell) Essex, Jacqueline (Zerah) Gibson, and Terry (Daphne) Essex; mother in law Earnestine (Herbert) Mullen'; Aunts Ethel Willians and Loraine WAshington;Uncles Archellous (Flora) , Clifton (Callie) Washington all of Florence, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
