Mr. Haywood Braxton, age 77 of New York, N.Y., formerly of Demopolis, Alabama, entered into eternal rest August 26, 2012 in New York. Funeral Services were held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Charlie Moore officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama. Haywood came from a very large family. five brothers, John Braxton, Robert Braxton, Charlie Braxton, William Braxton and Hobeart Braxton, Jr.; two sisters, Patsy Moore and Rosie Hunter all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his love, mourn his absence and celebrate his life: a loving and dedicated wife, Inez; son, Julian, daughter-in-law, Ayanna (whom Haywood affectionately called "Hollywood"), grandson, Carter (whom he called "Main Man"); two sisters, Mary Green and Barbara Ann James; mother-in-law, Elease Cooke; six sisters-in-law,k Barbara James, Patricia Caffie, Annye Braxton, Ernestine Braxton and Georgianna Smith Braxton; one godson, Ephian Bernard Caffie; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
