Mrs. Gail McCorvey, age 69 of Linden, AL entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2013 at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services for Mrs. McCorvey were held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Chapel AME Zion Church, Linden, Alabama. Rev. Lawrence Wofford, pastor and officiating minister. Interment followed in the Grant's Quarter Cemetery, Linden, Alabama. Survivors include a loving and caring husband of 56 years, Jessie McCorvey, Jr.; one daughter, Cheryl McCorvey Little of Linden, AL; five sons, Timothy McCorvey of Tuscaloosa, AL, Eric McCorvey of Linden, AL, Dwight (Tamika) McCorvey, Jessie McCorvey, III, both of Linden, AL, Wayne (Carolyn) McCorvey of McCalla, AL; grandchildren whom she reared as her own, Quannie McCorvey of Mobile, AL, Alicia Caldwell of Millbrooks, AL and Kisha (Clifton) Taylor of Mobile, AL; two loving and caring brothers, Randolph (Alice) Malloy of Chicago, IL and Milton (Vera) Malloy of Sweetwater, AL; 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
