Mr. Freddie Lee Holt, Sr., age 78 of Dayton, Alabama (Thomaston Community) passed October 5, 2010 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Hope Hill Baptist Church, Dayton, Alabama. Rev. E. Charleston officated. Interment followed in Little Flanders Cemetery, Dayton, Alabama with Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. He was the son of the late Jordan & Rebecca Holt of Marengo County, Alabama. Preceding him in death were his parents; mother and brothers Arthur and Jordan; one sister, Rachel; one son, Vernon; one stepson, Rubebn; one stepdaughter, Christine and granddaughters.

Cherishing his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Pearlie Holt of Dayton, Alabama; seven daughters, Rebecca (Alexander) Robinson of Detroit, MI;, Mennie Griffin of Warrenville, OH, Joyce (Ahart)Hunter of Warrensville, OH; Cathy (Clarence) Hendon of Killen, TX; Sheryll (Larry) Beville of Moreno CA; Gloria (Robert)Jacobs of Linden, AL; Joyce (Grover)Houston of Gallion, AL; two sons, Freddie Jr. (Thelma) Holt of Detroit, MI and Lenard Albert of Linden, AL; two stepsons, Anthony Olds of Linden, AL and Darren (Lenard) Olds of Birmingham, AL; four sisters, Mittie Jones, Hattie (Alfounsia) Hill, Louise Stinson and Beatrice (David) Johnson; twenty seven grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren, two brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
