Mr. Frank Taylor,Jr.age 76 of Jefferson, Alabama passed recently. Funeral Services were held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Jefferson, Alabama. Rev. Edmond Charleston officiated. Interment followed in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Born to the parentage of the late Frank Taylor, Sr. and Maggie Belvert in Sumter County, Alabama. He later relocated to Marengo County, Alabama and joined the First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he endured farming. His wife, Betty Jean Taylor,two sons, Frank Taylor, Jr. and Clarence Efford Taylor along with five siblings, Willie Gaitor, Freeman Taylor, Earl Lee Taylor, Isaac Taylor and Martha Moore preceded him in death. Survivors include his children, Beatrice (Anthony) Taylor of Jefferson, AL, Isaac (Caroline) Taylor of Seattle, WA, Shirley (Eddie) Merriweather of Jefferson, AL, Eddie (Glenda) Taylor of Mobile, AL, Rickie (Shavada) Taylor of Savannah, GA, Thomas and Danny Taylor of Jefferson, AL, Maggie (Corey) Holloway of Demopolis, AL, Anita (Travis) Jefferson of Gaithersburg, MD; siblings, Ida Mae Johnson of Gallion, AL, Nora Hubbard of Canton, OH and Favor Williams of Canton, OH; two devoted grandchildren, Joseph (Pamela) Taylor and Patrick (Angela) Taylor; 35 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
