Mrs. Emma Simmons, age 85 of Forkland, Alabama entered into eternal rest December 17, 2010 at the Baptist Medical Center, Columbus, Mississippi. Funeral Services were held Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Birdine A.M.E. Zion Church, Forkland, Alabama. Her son, Rev. Patrick Simmons officiated. Rev. Alexander Chaney is the pastor. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: a daughter Lillie Rose Thomas of Forkland, AL; two sosns Thomas "TJ" Simmons of Birmingham, AL and Rev. Patrick (Nancy) Simmons of Columbus, MS; five sisters Francis Merritt, Frankie Crawley, Maggie (Bishon) Sanders, Carolyn Robinson and Vanilla (James) Robinson all of Rochester, NY; five brotehrs James (Essie) Winters of Chicago, IL, Charles Evans of Forkland, AL, Junior (Pat) Robinson of Detroit, Michigan, Danny (Pat) Robinson and John Lee Robinson both of Rochester, NY; thirteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, thirteen step children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends
