Mr. Dennis Bridges, age 64 of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest April 27, 2011 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 12 noon at the Eastern Star Baptist Church, Third Avenue & Arcola Road, Demopolis, Alabama. Pastor Terry Gosa officiated. Minister Mitchell R. Congress served as Master Of Order. Interment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rangeline Road, Linden, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Dennis was born in Jefferson, Alabama on August 6, 1947 to his loving mother Minnie Frazier Plummer and the late David Eugene Bridges; he was reared by a loving stepfather Mr. James Plummer who preceded him in death. In addition he cherished his two devoted grandparents, the late Argelee Johnson and Sol Johnson. Dennis came to Cleveland, Ohio at an early age and attended Cleveland Public Schools. He was part of U.S. Jones Class of 1965. He entered into the U.S. Navy in 1965 and was assigned to the USS Randolph of Norfolk, Virginia where he was awarded an honorable discharge. He accepted Christ at an early age and dedicated his faith at Eastern Star Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. He was a caring, nice and considerate individual who enjoyed every moment of life.
