Deacon Henry Webb of the Dollarhide Community, Boligee, Alabama entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday July 5, 2012 at his residence. Funeral Services celebrating The Life Of Deacon Henry Webb were held Saturdfay, July 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the St. Matthew Watson Baptist Church, Dollarhide Community, Boligee, Alabama. Pastor Christopher Spencer officiated. Sis. Johnnie Knott served as Mistress Of Order. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama, "The Trusted Name In Funeral Service" entrusted with all arrangements. His ministry on any given day did not stop on the groounds of St. Matthew Watson Baptist Church. He was a community leader and solider. He was known in the community as "Mr. Fix It". In August 1958, he publically acknowledged Jesus as his personal Savior. Deacon Webb was a true man of God. One who you could depend on. Served on many duties at the church; Vice Chairman of Deacon Board, Male Chorus, Secretarial Staff and in all capacities. Repast followed at the Dollarhide Club 2001, Dollarhide Community, Boligee, Alabama. Over the years, Henry's passion for Christ manifested through his singing ministry with the Webb Gospel Singers as a founding member, lead singer and manager. He was gainfully employed at Drew Falls Mechanical and Skipper Supply Companies, Tuscaloosa, Alabama for several years. He was also employed at the West Alabama Health Services, Greene County Hospital, and Greene Tract. Henry retired in 2010 and became an entreepreneur, providing lawn, and plumbing services. Those who will embrace his memory and legacy are his beloved children: Shirley A. Webb, Johnny (Frances) Webb, Tawanda (Jimmy) Webb, Tomekia Webb, Chris Webb, LaToya Webb, and Landis Spearman: four sisters: Loretta (Floyd) Wilson, Sandra (Samuel) Powell, Willie (Henry Clay) Davis, and Eliza (Eugene) Acoff; seven brothers: Lorenzo (Tracy) Webb, Bruce (Denise) Webb, Joe (Gwendolyn) Webb, Nathaniel (Willie Dell) Webb, William Webb, McKinley (Stephanie) Webb, and Jimmy (Mavis) Webb; one aunt, Hattie Isaac; a devoted and caring friend, Lillian Jones; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
