Deacon Leroy Fields, Sr., age 77 of 6193 County Road 26, Faunsdale, Alabama 36738 entered into eternal rest May 31, 2011 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 12 noon at the Hunters Chapel Baptist Church, Faunsdale, Alabama. Rev. John H. Kennard, officiant. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Deacon Fields leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife of 39 years Mrs. Ruby Fields; five sons Leroy (Mary) Fields Jr. and Jerry (Betty) Auston both of Campbell Hall, N.Y., Hill (Helen) Fields of Mobile, Alabama, Richard Black of Linden, AL and Robert (Sylvia) Sanders of Mobile,AL; three daughters Betty (Clifford) Norwood of Dumfries, VA, Delores (Oland) Long of Shrewsbury, Massachuttes, and Dorothy (Wilbur) Hardy of Mobile, AL; seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one brother Curtis (Carrie) Fields of Gallion, AL; two sisters Caria Bryant of Newbern, AL and Ruby Briggins of Newburgh, N.Y. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
