Mr. Henry A. Fluker, of Demopolis, Alabama entered into eternal rest October 14, 2010 at his residence. Funeral Services were heldSaturday, October 23, 2010 at 11 A.M. at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 80 West, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev.Patrick Arrington, officated . Interment with military honors followed in Friendship Cemetery Demopolis, Alabama.
Born to the parentage of the late Pandora Essex Flker and Clinton Fluker. He confessed Christ at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He graduated from John Essex High School in 1960 and enlisted in the United States Army. He served a tour of duty in Vietnam Veteran where he earned a Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Bade, and Army Commedation Medal. He retired from the Alabama National Gueard, Wal Mart and the City of Demopolis Horticulture Department. Henry loved life and God's creations. He had a giving spirit, an encouraging word and electrifying sense. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nathan and Clinton Fluker, Jr. The memory of life will forever be treasured by two sons, Christopher Fluker of Defiance, Ohio and Clinton Sams of Norfol, VA; three stepchildren, Debra Rowser of Demopolis, AL, Jimmie Kemp of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Carolyn Kemp of Defiance, OH; two sisters, Inez Murdock of Demopolis, AL and Brenda Fluker of Mattapan, MA; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
