Mrs. Crisell Yancy Winfield, age 94 of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Linden, Alabama passed January 29, 2009 at her residence. Funeral Services were held Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Linden, Alabama. Elder Jonnetta Wilson officiate. Interment followed in Grant Cemetery, Linden, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Beloved daughter of the late Florence Yancy of Linden, Alabama and the sister of the late Emma Scott of Jefferson, Alabama. Crisell worked for Marshall Fields in the Food Service Departement. And altough she worked full time, she walways made herself available for family. She was a great cook and loved to prepare large Sunday mealsfor her children and grandchildren after church. In her private time, Crisell loved to fish. She took tremendous pride in her home, beaufiful flowers, and her vegetable garden. She found eternal rest on January 28, 2009. She leaves to chrish her with fond memories: three sons, Daniel (Polly Ann), John (Mary, and Milton; six grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren, nine step great-greand children; three great-great-great grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
