Mrs. Annie Kate Griffin, retired educator with Demopolis City Schools passed November 21, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Funeral Services were held Friday, November 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the ElBethel Missionary Baptist Church, State Boulevard, Meridian, Mississippi. Rev. Van C. Williams officiated. Interment followed in Blackwater Cemetery, Marion, MS. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Born to the parentage of the late Louis Adams and Onie Clark in Meridian, MS; She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Frank Griffin. Graduate of Mississippi Valley State. Attended T.J. Harris High School, Meridian, MS; Started teaching at U.S.Jones High School, Demopolis, alabmaa in 1972 and retired from Demopolis City School recently. Leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted son, Demetrius Griffin of Meridian, MS; devoted stepson, Larry (Debra) Griffin of Demopolis, AL; three loving sisters, Bernice Maye Pernell, Ida Mae Stringfellow and Katherine Adams, all of Meridian,MS; one brother, Henry Adams of California; friend, Willie J. Anderson of Demopolis, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
