Mrs. Althea I. Harris-Tarver,
age 53 of 4796 County Road 1, Gallion, Alabama 36742 passed August 29, 2008 at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church, Gallion, Alabama. Rev. Moses Jones, Sr., Pastor. Rev. Douglas Harris will officiate. Interment will follow in Gilfield Community Cemetery, Old Springhill, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. Public viewing will be held Tuesday from 1-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include a loving son, Jerome (Kenya) Tarver of Owensboro, KY; loving, faithful and devoted mother, Ora Ayers-Harris of Gallion, AL; loving and caring brother, Rev. Douglas (Patricia) Harris of Quincy, FL; three nephews; aunts and uncles, Willie Mae Ayers of Gallion, AL, Catherine Ayers of Chicago, IL, Janie Ayers-Gay of Chicago, IL, Eddie (Elizabeth) Ayers of Gallion, AL, Albert Jr. (Dixie) Ayers of LA; Lela Davis of Detroit, MI; a host of nephews, cousins, relative and numerous friends who will truly miss her.
