Mr. Alfred Jones of Jefferson, Alabama entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Pine Grove Baptist Church of Linden, Alabama. REv. Alfred Hudson Sr., officiated. Interment followed in the Jefferson Cemetery of Jefferson, Alabama. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with all arrangements. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: one sister Jannie M. Dowdel of Ohio; eleven children Thelma Jones, Lena Gregg, Walter Jones (Renee'), Carolyn JOnes (Isaac), Carrie Jones (Rickey), Loretta (Donald) Jack, Abbie (Leonard) Riggs, Genneva Jones (Eric), John (Sarah) Jones all of Seattle, Washington, Frankie Jones (Lizzie), Catherine Jones (Milton) and Bernice (Derrick) Williams of Chicago, IL; Emma Jones of Demopolis, AL; one stepdaughter Vera Smith of Seattle, Washington; one sister in law Bertha Johnson of Mobile, AL; forty nine grandchildren, seventy great grandhchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
